Construction Services
During construction, we make sure that the client gets an excellent system even if the project gets a subpar construction contractor. HBH adjusts levels of oversight and consistently engages the contractor to make sure that the system is built to the high-quality standards our clients deserve. We have excellent relationships with several contractors who provide excellent work. We continue to recommend these contractors to clients and work with them on a yearly basis.
Upon completion of final design, we perform construction observations and punch lists for completion of private developments as requested. This includes the review of as-built drawings, testing results, as-built certification, project closeouts and initiation of required construction warranties.
Our approach to construction management facilitates connectivity between the design and construction. Our years of experience allow us to bring comprehensive understanding of scope, quality, constructability and schedule. Those reviewing for constructability, best value, and schedule during the 30%, 60% and 90% design will be those permitting, as-building, commissioning, and training operational staff. Our team is experienced in working with local and state permitting as well as submittals to state and federal funding agencies as applicable.
Municipal ConstruCTION
Through many of our City Engineer contracts, HBH commonly provides development review. This includes a thorough review of plans submitted by other engineers for developments and public improvements, attending pre-application meetings, pre-construction meetings, and reviewing post construction record drawings. HBH also has sufficient staff necessary to serve as the City’s on-site representative at various points during construction.
We serve as the City’s representative during the bidding and award process as well as providing construction observation of public improvements to ensure a general conformance with the design drawings. It is our goal to be your representative on projects happening within the City’s jurisdiction. We understand City resources may be limited; we will fill all roles as needed.
